"I think of horror films as art, as films of confrontation."

Models: Vanessa Lake

A sultry, sexy siren with a brain? Wake me up, Mongo - I must be dreaming again!

Happy Fangsgiving, manlings and fe-manlings! This is the special time of the year when The Sleaze-A-Saurus thanks the dark reaches of the Universe that so graciously spawned it into hideous life by sinking it's rows of wet fangs deep into unwary hu-mons. But wait! What is this amazing beauty that identifies itself as "Vanessa Lake"?

She is, in fact, the cover girl from Bizarre Magazine March 2011 and certainly seems poised to find a wide, wide audience among the Internet viewing audience at large. Her 5' 6" wispy frame, perfect skin, perky 36" rack, colorful arm tattoos and lush, long red hair make Vanessa a stand-out model among the thousands of hopefuls - who are, let's face it - pretty unremarkable.

One look at Vanessa Lake makes all the sloppy hardcore porn on the Internet seem boring, inauspicious and frankly - tasteless even for an interstellar dino-monster. So saying, yer Ol' Pal The Sleaze-A-Saurus chooses not to devour this fe-manling. Instead, The Sleaze-A-Saurus prefers for this cherubic siren to have a long and successful career in modeling and what I am told is called "fashion".

Be free, Vanessa Lake, for you have only narrowly escaped the fleshy drool-encrusted maw of The Sleaze-A-Saurus, itself. For now... Happy Fangsgiving!

Flicks: Zone 261 (2012)

In Sweden, zombies are not only better organized but better looking too. Z.I.L.F. out, pathetic hu-mons!

Z.I.L.F., an acronym suggestive of obscure pseudo-necrophilic practices or perhaps something much less interesting? For the purposes of Fredrik Hiller's (3d animated version of Beowolf and Psalm 21) Zone 261 - due out in American theaters in 2012 - the term serves next to no purpose.

In Zone 261, the military name a zombie infected town in southern Sweden, tensions between locals and immigrants grow. The isolated town is cordoned off by the Swedish army but the survivors are trapped inside the military blockade and must survive both immigrants and locals alike. The two sides unwillingly band together to fight against the murderous, infected zombie horde.

Flicks: Tucker & Dale Versus Evil (2010)

Accident-prone teenie-boppers encounter some rather misunderstood miscreants. Video courtesy of Magnet Releasing.

Tucker and Dale (Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine) are two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house. The duo are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count.

The movie's director Eli Craig (Carrie 2) takes the archetypes set-up by survival horror movies like Wrong Turn, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes to deliver a mortified cast of hapless yuppoids who inadvertently frag themselves for 90 minutes while Tucker and Dale look on horrified. Think Shaun of the Dead meets Deliverance as the survival horror genre is turned comically on it's skull.

Tyler Labine[0] stars as Dale, a dead-on Robert Kirkland (Walking Dead creator) look-a-like. In fact, The Walking Dead's original illustrator, Tony Moore[1], has created movie posters and promotional art for this horror spoof that is every bit as good as the work he did on the first 6 issues of the hit comic series from Image.

Notes:
[0] = Tyler Labine's career is taking off after starring in the failed Fox sitcom Sons Of Tuscon in 2010 he appeared in the new Rise of the Planet of the Apes and is slated for three 2012 feature films.
[1] = Tony Moore and Robert Kirkland actually met as middle school kids in 7th grade history class.
